On October 10th, Dominic McAllister, the British Consul General in Wuhan, led a delegation of 23 British education representatives to visit our school, accompanied by Ding Rui, the Deputy Director of the European and American Affairs Office of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province. Tian Daomin, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Ma Yuxia, the President, and Ni Ju, the Vice President, met with the visitors at the Auditorium No.1. The heads of the International Affairs Office, Locomotive and Rolling Stock School, Nursing School, Transport Management School, Railway Engineering School, Business School, Pharmacy School, Arts School, and Artificial Intelligence School participated in the meeting. Secretary Tian Daomin welcomed the visit of McAllister and his delegation and introduced the basic situation of the college. Tian pointed out that under the guidance of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province and Henan Provincial Department of Education, the college has always adhered to opening up education to the outside world and serving the overall national diplomatic strategy. They have solidly carried out international educational teaching systems and mechanisms as well as Five Golden construction. They continuously deepen the opening-up of education to the outside world, actively participate in international educational governance, and continuously deepen Sino-foreign cultural exchanges. They have built an all-around, multi-dimensional, deep-seated international exchange cooperation system. The level of internationalization in running schools and international influence continue to improve. Tian emphasized that the college attaches great importance to cooperation with universities and research institutions in the UK. Significant achievements have been made in aspects such as training of international teachers, development of professional standards, resource construction, and evaluation of education. He expressed hope for establishing good cooperative relations with more British universities and research institutions in future to explore new models of internationalized education running schools together and create a new situation in Sino-British educational cooperation.

McAllister thanked the college for its warm reception. He stated that his side highly values cooperation between Chinese and British universities and hoped that this exchange would lead to more partners in education between Henan and England. Future support will be provided in introducing higher educational resources, designing courses, teacher training, academic, and cultural exchanges to jointly promote high-quality development of Sino-British vocational education.
President Ma Yuxia spoke
President Ma Yuxia detailed the achievements in international education running schools. She pointed out that the college pays great attention to Sino-foreign cooperative education work, coordinately handling both bringing in and going out major projects. Actively introducing advanced international educational resources, vigorously carrying out cross-border education services, actively serving the Belt and Road initiative, forming a unique pattern of internationalized education running schools. Ma emphasized that in recent years, the college has continuously deepened cooperation with UK counterparts. It took the lead in joining UK National Recognition Information Centre's international professional standard assessment certification plan. A collaboration was established with UK ENIC to form an international standardization research institute for railway transport professions. Five specialties including railway locomotives, railway vehicles, nursing obtained Level 5 certificates from both UK Qualifications Framework and Europe Qualifications Framework further accelerating the college's pace in internationalizing education in vocational fields. Ma expressed her expectation that both sides could take this visit as an opportunity to find more points of cooperation strengthen communication deepen friendly cooperation and jointly push Sino-British educational exchanges to a new level.
Representatives from 14 British institutions including Chichester University Coventry University UK National Recognition Information Centre etc briefly introduced their institutional history evolution cooperation intentions etc expressing their desire for deep cooperation with the college.
After the meeting McAllister and his delegation visited practical training laboratories including rail workshop, railway safety warning education center, high-speed EMU intelligent driving training center, etc. The unique and advanced experimental training conditions left a deep impression on all guests who appreciated them especially their intelligent operation platforms virtual simulation systems which inspired students' innovative thinking and practical abilities.
