The College’s teacher was invited to give lectures at the SCO Railway Logistics Management Workshop

From July 3rd to 16th, the inaugural 2024 SCO Railway Logistics Management Workshop, organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and co-organized by the National Railway Administration and the Lianyungang Municipal Government, took place at the Haizhou Bay International Convention Center in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province.

From July 3rd to 16th, the inaugural 2024 SCO Railway Logistics Management Workshop, organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and co-organized by the National Railway Administration and the Lianyungang Municipal Government, took place at the Haizhou Bay International Convention Center in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. The event was attended by over 20 executives from transportation departments, including the Russian National Railway Corporation and the Kazakh National Railway Corporation. Commissioned by the National Railway Administration, the college appointed Dr. Qiao Cong, Deputy Dean of International Education, as the lead instructor for the training.

The workshop aimed to strengthen professional knowledge sharing and skill enhancement in railway logistics among SCO member countries. It sought to address new challenges in the transportation industry under globalization and promote the efficient operation and collaborative development of cross-border railway logistics within the Belt and Road Initiative. 

Throughout the training, Dr. Qiao Cong delivered all lectures in Russian, employing a combination of theoretical explanations and practical case analyses. He articulated key concepts and core technologies in railway logistics transportation management, shared China's successful experiences in this field, and engaged in thorough discussions with participants on trends and challenges in international railway transportation. Participants praised the lectures for their rich content and practicality, noting that the workshop broadened their international perspectives and deepened their understanding of Chinese railway logistics management, while also providing valuable practical experience and cutting-edge knowledge. This foundation will be crucial for future cooperation in railway logistics within their countries and regions.

The College is committed to cultivate international faculty and high-quality technical talent. It actively participates in international exchanges and cooperation. Dr. Qiao Cong, with over a decade of study and work experience in Russia and holding a doctoral degree, has held positions such as the Dean of the Sino-Russian International College at the Ural State University of Railway Transport. His invitation to teach at the SCO workshop was met with unanimous praise from both the National Railway Administration and the participants. This marks another significant accomplishment for the College in promoting railway logistics management and serving the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative's international capacity cooperation. The College will continue to leverage its strengths to contribute further to industry progress and international exchanges in the future.

It is reported that this was the first session of the SCO Railway Logistics Management Workshop, with plans to hold it annually in the future.
