The College Attends the 8th China-Russia Transport University Rectors Forum

On November 5th and 6th, the 8th China-Russia Transport University Rectors Forum was held in Beijing. Chinese Vice Minister of Transportation, Wang Gang, and Russian Deputy Minister of Transport, Pavshikov Konstantin Anatolyevich, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

A congratulatory letter was sent by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Valery Vladimirovich Savilyev. College President Ma Yuxia was invited to attend the conference and delivered a special lecture. Vice President Li Fusheng presided over the sub-forum activities. During the event, the college was re-elected as the vice president of the Sino-Russian Transportation University Alliance from China. 

President Ma Yuxia presented her lecture titled From Sino-Russian Educational Cooperation to Multilateral Win-Win on the 'Belt and Road' - Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College's Practice in Internationalized Education Along the New Silk Road. She detailed the achievements of the college's Sino-Russian cooperative education projects and its engagement with enterprises overseas. Since the college began cooperation with Russian universities such as the Russian University of Transport, Saint Petersburg State Transport University, and Ural State University of Railway Transport in 2010, both sides have leveraged these educational collaboration platforms to comprehensively enhance the internationalization level of faculty teams and promote diverse development among students. They have actively advanced international scientific research collaborations and jointly established international educational organizations, achieving a series of fruitful outcomes. Based on this, the college has actively participated in the construction of the Belt and Road, undertaking five overseas railway technical personnel training and maintenance projects, establishing three Zhan Tianyou Institutes abroad, three teaching points, and one practice base. Tailoring approaches to local conditions, it has developed international professional standards and locally adapted teaching resources, widely sharing successful experiences in Chinese vocational education. This initiative has made positive contributions to promoting inclusive development within the Belt and Road framework and advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

 

 

As a co-organizer of this forum, Vice President Li Fusheng represented the college in hosting the vocational education sub-forum. Leaders from eight universities across China and Russia shared their respective educational experiences and successful cases.

The Sino-Russian Transportation University Alliance was established in May 2014, aimed at enhancing cooperation between China and Russia in education, science, technology, and transportation sectors, jointly nurturing international talents, and serving the development of transportation industries in both countries. The forum saw participation from leaders and representatives of 65 universities focusing on transportation from China and Russia, including the Russian Federal University of Transport, Far Eastern Federal University of Transport, Beijing Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, etc.

During the conference, leaders from the college also engaged in working discussions and bilateral exchanges with officials from the Russian University of Transport, Ural State University of Railway Transport, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
