On November 29th, the Russian Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training hosted an online seminar under the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance. Over 100 representatives from member units of the alliance participated in this event. The theme of the seminar was “Career Pathways of TVET Students”. President Ma Yuxia was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote speech titled “Establishing Career Planning Systems, Supporting Students’ Vocational Development”.
Ma Yuxia pointed out in her speech that employment is the foundation of people's livelihood and development, as well as an important indicator for assessing the quality of talent training in higher education institutions. Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College, as a leading institution in China's rail transit vocational education field, has taken effective measures to help students establish long-term career development capabilities: Firstly, courses on career development and employment guidance are offered to guide students towards clear career directions; Secondly, students are encouraged to participate in academic competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship contests, and career planning competitions to stimulate their professional growth motivation; Thirdly, a platform for school-enterprise cooperation is built to expand students’ career development channels; Fourthly, refined services are provided to aid students in steadily embarking on their career journey. Through establishing a comprehensive support system comprising courses, competitions, platforms, and services, students effectively achieve clear goals in learning, direction in employment, capability in entrepreneurship, and momentum in development.
In April 2022, the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance was officially established. The college has continuously participated in multiple sessions of the Principals' Forum, TVET Teacher Capacity Building Webinar and the Rising Star TVET Student Camp s, making a positive contribution to deepening internal exchanges and cooperation within the Alliance and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for international vocational education.
