On December 7th, the China International College Students' Innovation Contest (2023) concluded in Tianjin. The college was awarded 1 national gold prize and 8 national bronze prizes, with the ranking of the awards at the forefront of the nation and No. 1 among vocational colleges in Henan Province. The number of national-level awards received by the college has reached a historical high, marking another significant breakthrough in the college's participation in college student innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
The project Track Positioning Divine Needle - A Leading Domestic High-Precision Passive Intelligent Inspection Supplier for High-Speed Rail Fasteners won the national gold prize.
The competition featured 4.21 million projects and involved 17.09 million participants from 5,296 schools across 151 countries and regions, setting records as the most widely participated event, with the most extensive college coverage, the largest number of teams, the highest level of competition, and emerging as the most influential college student innovation and entrepreneurship platform.In January 2023, the 9th China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was initiated by the College, garnering robust support from various secondary colleges and academies. Over 13,000 projects were registered to participate across the vocational education track, higher education main track, Youth Red Dream Journey track, and industry track, ensuring comprehensive student engagement and fostering a vibrant atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship.Preliminary and final College-level competitions were held in June 2023. Following several rounds of training and competition, over 150 exceptional innovation and entrepreneurship projects were chosen for further development, with 118 of these projects being recommended to compete at the Henan Province level.In August, the College participated in the Henan Province semi-finals, on-site finals, and provincial ranking competition, securing 20 first prizes, 31 second prizes, and 23 third prizes.From August to November, a total of 9 projects from the College advanced to the national finals (online evaluation stage competition).After online evaluation and review by Ministry of Education experts, the Track Positioning Divine Needle project qualified for the national finals on-site competition.

Since the beginning of the year, the college has meticulously organized targeted initiatives including project promotion, expert mentorship, specialized training, defense simulation, speech coaching, and business operations, continuously refining projects and enhancing their execution to facilitate superior realization and transformation of innovation and entrepreneurship endeavors.The overall quality of the contestants and the caliber of their presentations have seen marked improvements.During the sprint phase of the national finals on-site competition, eminent experts from various fields were invited to offer direct, in-depth guidance to the student teams, aiming for excellence and establishing a robust foundation for securing outstanding competition results.Following rigorous scrutiny and defense by a panel of national expert judges, the project Track Positioning Divine Needle - A Leading Domestic High-Precision Passive Intelligent Inspection Supplier for High-Speed Rail Fasteners was awarded the national gold prize in the vocational education track.Three projects in total, namely Hand in Hand with 'Child' - Practitioners of Robot Technology Education for Chinese Youth, Chuanhui IoT - Amusement Facility Health Monitoring Equipment Supplier, and Unprecedented - Leader of Rail Transit Train Safety Monitoring Assist System, received the national bronze prize in the undergraduate startup category of the higher education main track.Two projects, Turning Wood into Gold - Inheriting and Innovating Traditional Willow Weaving as the 'Golden Key' to Revitalizing Rural Areas, and Dou Dan King - Empowering Integrated Planting and Breeding to Become a Close-to-Home Wealthy Industry, were honored with the national bronze prize in the Youth Red Dream Journey track.Two projects, Bohuo Technology - Leader in Real-Time In-Transit Monitoring Technology for Partial Loading Attitude of Freight Trains, and Dismantling King - The Dismantling Artifact for Split Pins, received the national bronze prize in the vocational education track.The project Research on Intelligent Fault Identification and Precise Positioning Technology for Railway Overhead Lines secured the national bronze prize in the industrial proposition track.
