On April 24th, a promotion meeting for the Zhan Tianyou Institute in the Philippines was held at the college, attended by General Manager Wang Yinghua and Project Manager Chen Bin from Guangzhou Shuli Consulting Services Co., Ltd., Party Committee Secretary Tian Daomin, and the official in charge of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Tian Daomin extended a welcome to Wang Yinghua and his delegation, providing a comprehensive overview of the college's educational internationalization efforts. It was highlighted that, over the last three years, aided significantly by Guangzhou Shuli Consulting Services Co., Ltd., the college has engaged in close collaboration with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Dumaguete City College, actively fostering the establishment of the Zhan Tianyou Institute in the Philippines.The Master's program in Railway Engineering Management and the Associate Degree program in Software Engineering Technology Education have been successfully initiated. A total of 35 graduate students and 30 associate degree students have been enrolled across two sessions, with the completion of 13 professional courses and Chinese language courses designed for foreign students.Moving forward, the college plans to broaden its international cooperation channels and elevate the standard of cross-border educational services, aligning with the 'Double High Plan' and the aspiration to develop into an undergraduate vocational college. This approach aims to demonstrate new responsibilities and initiate new actions within the framework of high-quality 'Belt and Road' joint development.
Wang Yinghua expressed gratitude for the warm reception and affirmed that his company is committed to actively supporting the college's international strategy. They aim to excel in the teaching and management aspects of the Zhan Tianyou Institute, to fulfill the set responsibility targets, and to advance more significant outcomes in the educational collaboration between China and the Philippines.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the work plan for the Zhan Tianyou Institute in the Philippines for the years 2024-2025. A broad consensus was achieved on several issues, including the enhancement of the college's operational mechanisms, the reinforcement of reciprocal exchanges between Chinese and foreign faculty and students, the collaborative undertaking of research initiatives, and the incorporation of international professional qualification certifications
