The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services opened in Beijing on September 2nd, sponsored by UK ENIC and co-sponsored by ZZRVTC. The China-UK TVET High-Quality Development Conference took place at the China National Convention Center as a significant event within the education section. Mr. Tian Daomin, Secretary of the Party Committee, represented ZZRVTC in signing a contract with the UK ENIC to establish the Academy for International Standardization of TVET Programs in Rail Transit. He also presided over the keynote speech at the conference. Mr. Li Fusheng, Vice President of ZZRVTC, and heads of relevant departments attended the conference.

In April 2020, ZZRVTC applied to become the first batch of Chinese member of the UK ENIC, initiating international professional standard assessments and certifications for five majors, including railway locomotives, railway vehicles, nursing, etc. By the end of 2022, four majors had completed the certification process and obtained the International Quality Standard Certificate and the International Comparability Level 5 Certificate. ZZRVTC established the Academy for International Standardization of TVET Programs in Rail Transit as its fourth Sino-foreign joint scientific research institution, following the Collaborative Innovation Center for High-speed Railway Drivers' Health and Safety Research, the Sino-British Railway Transportation Research Institute, and the Institute for Sino-foreign Humanistic Exchanges in the Railway Transportation Industry. It will help ZZRVTC further explore future-oriented modes of vocational education credentials development and the cultivation of technically skilled talents. It also aims to build a professional standard system and quality guarantee system aligned with international standards and Chinese characteristics, promoting the high-quality development of ZZRVTC.

More than 40 representatives from Chinese and foreign organizations attended this conference, including the Department of Business and Trade of the United Kingdom, the National Center for Academic Degree Evaluation and Accreditation of the United Kingdom, Skillman, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, the Beijing Institute of Educational Research, and the Beijing Institute of Finance and Trade, among others. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges around the theme of Openness, Cooperation, Integration, and Innovation and released two research results on-site: Guidelines for Development-Oriented Curriculum Development in Modern Vocational Education: a PGSD Competence Analysis Model and International Professional Standards Assessment and Certification and Internationalization of TVET Colleges.
