ZZRVTC successfully holds the Second Academic Exchange Meeting for Chinese and Russian College Students

On the afternoon of April 27th, the Silk Road Academy (School of International Education) at ZZRVTC joined hands with the Ural State University of Communications in holding the Second Academic Exchange Meeting for Chinese and Russian College Students: The Implementation of the Sino-Russian Fast and High-speed Transport Route Project, in order to further strengthen the exchange between young people, broaden their international vision and enhance friendly cooperation on both sides.

On the afternoon of April 27th, the Silk Road Academy (School of International Education) at ZZRVTC joined hands with the Ural State University of Communications in holding the Second Academic Exchange Meeting for Chinese and Russian College Students: The Implementation of the Sino-Russian Fast and High-speed Transport Route Project, in order to further strengthen the exchange between young people, broaden their international vision and enhance friendly cooperation on both sides. The meeting was chaired by Valery Samoilov, an academic at the Russia Academy of Transportation Science and a professor at the Ural State University of Communications. The opening ceremony was attended and addressed by Dong Yuan, Vice President of ZZRVTC, and Anashkina Natalya Yurievna, Vice Rector of the Ural State University of Communications.

In her opening address, Dong Yuan extended her congratulations on holding this academic exchange meeting on behalf of ZZRVTC and expressed a sincere welcome to the guests from the Ural State University of Communications. She pointed out that “young students from the two Russian and Chinese colleges have met again online and talked in a cheerful manner. This reflects the profound friendship between the two colleges. Young people are the future of both countries, as well as the future of Russian-Chinese relations and the friendship between the Russian and Chinese peoples. I hope that Russian and Chinese college students will continue seeking the truth, innovate bravely, learn from each other and go forward hand in hand, so as to contribute their wisdom and strength to enhancing the traditional good-neighborly and friendly relations between China and Russia.

Anashkina said in her speech, “There is an increasingly close cooperation in transportation between Russia and China. Russia takes an active part in the “Belt and Road” initiative and included it in the federations transportation development strategy. She emphasized that the activity has once again set up a platform for young people in both countries to jointly create a better future, providing an opportunity to talk about the mission and responsibilities borne by the younger generation of Russians and Chinese and promote cooperation between the two colleges.

At the meeting, 15 students of different grades from the two colleges witnessed an academic exchange of videos on “high-speed railroad operation”, “railway transportation organization”, “China Railway Express to Europe” and “Arctic Route Development”. The students from ZZRVTC spoke in Russian throughout the meeting. The students from Russia said in their summary address that the ZZRVTC students had left a deep impression on them.
