Commercial Consul of the British Consulate-General in Wuhan visits ZZRVTC

On the morning of March 31st, Arvind Norris, Commercial Consul of the British Consulate-General in Wuhan, Li Huajie, Chief Representative for China of the National Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom (UK NARIC), Liu Fei, Trade and Investment Officer of the UK Department for Business Trade (DBT), Jiao Mansheng, Secretary-General of the UK NARIC China Council, and Zhu Xiaowei, Secretary-General of the Joint Conference on International Cooperation on Vocational Education, as well as representatives of a dozen sister colleges from inside and outside the province, paid a visit to ZZRVTC. Xu Yan, Party Secretary of ZZRVTC met with the guests and held an in-depth symposium with them. Vice presidents Ni Jiu, Li Fusheng and Hu Tianyu were also present.

 Symposium

At the symposium, Xu Yan extended a welcome to the Consul for his visit to Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. He said that “Henan is one of the provinces shortlisted for the construction of a national highland for vocational education innovation and development, and ranks first nationwide in terms of number of vocational colleges. Under the guidance of national policy, Henan is committed to promoting the integration of general and vocational education, school-enterprise cooperation and internationalization. We are willing to deepen our cooperation with British colleges and enterprises to promote the internationalization of Chinese vocational education.”

Arvind Norris said, “The speed and scale of the development of Chinese higher vocational colleges is very impressive. These remarkable achievements in education have laid a foundation for further international exchanges and cooperation. The British Consulate-General in Wuhan and the Office of Education and Skills (DBT) will continue to build a platform for Chinese vocational education by providing opportunities for international cooperation and college-enterprise cooperation.”

After the meeting, Arvind Norris and his party visited the Comprehensive Training Base for Rail Transit, the Training Room of the High-speed Train Dispatching Center, the Urban Rail Train Operation Control Training Base and other training bases in the company of Li Fusheng and Hu Dianyu, vice presidents of ZZRVTC. He was very appreciative and spoke highly of ZZRVTC’s training equipment, training projects and training environment.

  

Visiting the Training Room

The visiting representatives from the fields of medicine and health held a symposium on international professional standard assessment and accreditation with Ni Ju, Vice President of ZZRVTC, and the representative of the School of Nursing. Ni Jiu said, “International professional accreditation is an important part of building high-level specialties, and is also an essential element for promoting international schooling. It has further improved the global recognition of certain specialties offered at ZZRVTC, promoting the worldwide flow of cross-border technical services and skilled personnel.” They then visited the School of Nursing’s training base and inspected their teaching resources.
