The Eighth China International College Students Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition recently came to a conclusion, with ZZRVTC winning one gold medal, one silver medal, and five bronze medals. This made us the vocational college with the most awards in all of Henan province, representing a great breakthrough in the history of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and bringing home the national gold for the first time.

At the beginning of 2022, ZZRVTC launched this year's Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. With strong support from secondary colleges and academies, we organized a total of 11,971 projects into categories including vocational education, higher education, Youth Red Dream Tour and industrial competition. All students were included in the competition, creating a great atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship. From May to June 2022, the school-level preliminary and final competitions were held. After several rounds of training and competition, more than 100 outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship projects were selected for further cultivation, among which 76 were entered for the provincial competition. In July, they were entered in the follow-up competition, the on-site final and provincial ranking competition in Henan Province. Here, we were awarded a total of 12 first prizes, 26 second prizes and 16 third prizes. From August to November, 7 of ZZRVTCs projects were selected for the national final (online competition). After online evaluation and review by the Ministry of Education, two outstanding projects were entered for the national final offline competition.

During the online national finals, Vice President Li Fusheng, together with directors of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and other departments, visited the participating students and their instructors. They listened attentively to the reports delivered by the participating teams, solved any difficulties and problems encountered during the competition, and encouraged them to work hard and showcase their individual styles and abilities. During this period, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship carried out targeted work including project promotion, expert guidance, themed training, mock interviews, presentation training and business operations, working continuously to upgrade their projects, optimize their work, and promote the completion of the projects. The overall quality and demonstration level of the participants has now improved significantly.

During the online finals, the pandemic situation on campus began to complicate matters. However, with the cooperation and support of the Information Technology Office, the Student Affairs Office and other related departments and academies, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship overcame these difficulties and arranged dedicated personnel to deliver food to the participating teams, thus providing them with all daily necessities to the maximum extent possible. The participating teachers and students dealt with numerous difficulties, trained in a scientific manner, and fought bravely during the competition. Thanks to their indomitable will and outstanding qualities, they were able to fully demonstrate the innovation and entrepreneurship achievements of ZZRVTC on the biggest stage of the National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
