On August 29th, ZZRVTC and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines held a joint online training and exchange session on the theme of Railway Construction and Development. President Ma Yuxia, Vice President Li Fusheng and Manuel M. Muhi, President of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, attended the opening ceremony.

Ma Yuxia said in her opening remarks that since the signing of a cooperation agreement in April this year, the bilateral relations between both schools have been developing rapidly and that this training session would deepen mutual understanding and promote further cooperation. She stressed that the school is willing to actively share the achievements and vocational education experience of Chinas railway development, in order to jointly promote the inclusive development of rail transportation. Manuel M. Muhi said that China has made remarkable achievements in railway construction, and that the Philippines has much to learn from their experience. He said that he himself, along with his teachers and students, were looking forward to the lecture and would take the opportunity to engage in in-depth exchanges with their Chinese counterparts.

At the meeting, Niu Chenxu, a teacher from the School of Locomotives and Rolling Stock, delivered a special report on The Construction and Development of Railway in China in English. She introduced the history of China's railway and the current role of high-speed railway equipment in detail, sharing stories of ZZRVTC's participation in the Belt and Road initiative and the training of overseas and domestic talents. This elicited a very positive response from the Philippine teachers and students. After the lecture, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines issued lecture certificates and thank-you letters to Ms. Niu Chenxu and to ZZRVTC.
