On December 17, the Fifth Member Representative Meeting of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education was held in Beijing. 559 representatives coming from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the local administrative department for education, the vocational education research institution, the vocational colleges and various enterprises and public institutions were present in the meeting. In the meeting, Kong Fanshi, the president of our college was elected as the managing director of the Fifth Council of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education.
The meeting is a meaningful vocational education meeting in the context that the reform and opening-up policy has been implemented for 40 years, the state has made a historical achievement and undertaken a historical transformation, the socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new age, the Party Central Committee grandly held a National Education Conference and comprehensively deepened the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan reviewed and passed by the reform committee, and the vocational education has realized a new historical leap. In the meeting, all the attending persons heard, reviewed and passed the fourth council working report, elected the chairman, vice chairman, secretary general, directors and managing directors of the Fifth Council for the Society. Lu Xin, the former vice minister of the Ministry of Education was elected as the chairman of the Fifth Council of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education.
The Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education was founded in December, 1990 and composed of the nation-wide mass vocational technology education groups and vocational technology education workers as a first-grade national academic social group approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and directly managed by the Ministry of Education. The Society followed the policy of “flourishing and contending” to carry out various academic activities, research the theoretical and actual issues regarding vocational technology education, promote the excellent research results and education and teaching reform experience, and provide some consultations and suggestions for the decision making of vocational technology education. Our college was elected as the managing director unit. It was the second time for our college to be elected as one of the main members of a national higher vocational education research institution after it was elected as one of the presidium members of the national higher vocational college president council, providing a new platform for our college to update the school-running idea, innovate the development idea and expand the social influence.
