On September 9, our school observed the grand opening of the on-line signing ceremony of the China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop jointly established by our school and the Railway College of Ethiopia Railway Group and the Sunmaker Oil & Gas Training Institute. Mulatu Teshome, the director of the industry cooperation and technology assignment office of the science and higher education department of Ethiopia, Michael, the chief executive officer of Railway College of Ethiopia Railway Group, Duan Xiaofei and Gong Zhiwu, the vice presidents of the Sunmaker Oil & Gas Training Institute, Guan Yuping, the vice director of the foreign cooperation and exchange office of the Education Department of Henan, Xu Yan, the secretary of the party committee, Kong Fanshi, the deputy secretary of the party committee and the president and Dong Lisheng and Ni Ju, the vice presidents, the heads of the relevant functional departments and secondary schools and other relevant persons attended the meeting. Duan Xiaofei, the vice president of the Sunmaker Oil & Gas Training Institute chaired the meeting.
Mulatu Teshome, the director of the industry cooperation and technology assignment office of the science and higher education department of Ethiopia made a speech firstly on behalf of the science and higher education department of Ethiopia. He said that, in recent years, the railway industry of Ethiopia developed rapidly, so the relevant talents were in great demand. The project of China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop exactly met the rail transit development planning needs of the country. Therefore, the science and higher education department of Ethiopia highly recognized the project and continuously paid attention to and actively supported the project in the aspects of mutual educational history recognition, qualification review and course standard promotion.
Guan Yuping, the vice director of the foreign cooperation and exchange office of the Education Department of Henan indicated in his speech that, the China-Africa friendship was of long standing and the education cooperation was promising. The project of China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop was an important measure to implement the education cooperation vision between China and Africa and create a community of shared future between China and Africa in the new age; with the joint efforts paid the three parties, the Institute must be running stably for a long time, benefiting the youths and societies of these two countries.
Xu Yan, the secretary of the party committee of Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College indicated in his speech that the project of China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop was a key project of our school to create the international excellent cooperation engineering. The school would actively implement the international school-running strategy of “five-in-one”, promote the international exchange and cooperation vocational education by a higher vision, a broader view and greater courage, compact the features of “Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College”, form the standards of “Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College”, and promote the program of “Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College”, contributing wisdom and power to accelerating the equitable and beneficial development of the countries along the “the Belt and Road”, serving the local operation of the foreign Chinese-funded enterprises and pushing the inland opening and highland construction of Henan province.
Michael, the chief executive officer of Railway College of Ethiopia Railway Group indicated the 40-year cooperation between China and Ethiopia had become a cooperation model between China and Ethiopia. The parties jointly paid efforts, developed themselves and benefited the people in these two countries; the cooperation mode of the China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop was very innovative and exemplary, which must influence other African countries.
Duan Xiaofei, the vice president of the Sunmaker Oil & Gas Training Institute expressed the Institute would be dedicated to serving” the Belt and Road” Initiative and the Chinese education to “go out”, actively assist the Chinese colleges and universities to be open to the outside world, and construct a China-Africa vocational education and cultural exchange platform. The Institute would comprehensively implement the cooperation vision and accelerate the construction of the educational community between China and Africa by taking the opportunity of cooperation.
As witnessed by each guest, Kong Fanshi, Duan Xiaofei and Michael entered into a common construction agreement on behalf of these three parties.
The China-Africa (Ethiopia) Zhan Tianyou Institute and China-Ethiopia Railway Engineering Luban Workshop was the first cooperative education institute of our school in Africa and an important measure of our school to implement the “eight actions” in the China-Africa cooperation and promote the “Construction Plan of High-level Vocational Colleges & Specialties with Chinese Characteristics”. It is planned to carry out the admission work in 2021.
